When I was formula racing, I used some Maui Sails TR race sails, from 3 to 8. Those all required what Phil McGain called "stiff top" bends. That was very important for shape and performance for those sails.
With the TR-X generation (which followed the TR-9), they went to constant curve. 12% and up bend curve.
I don't even know what a T8 is. If it happens to be a TR-8, you still need the stiff top bend. 7%-9% bend curve.
When I couldn't find Maui Sails masts, I found that the Gaastra Ignitions in the 2002-2004 vintage had the same bend curves. They had the same layups and tooling as the MS masts did, just different markings. This was for the 520 and 550 sizes.
