ok well im going to be selling my board soon, but im not sure about how much i should ask, its a starboard carve 111ltr and a 2004, not the wood one, had one repair prof done but it didnt and hasnt taken on any water,

for cosmetics its 100 fine, and like new, so how much do you think a board like this will be worth

sorry if im not meant to post things like this, but im really stuck

thanks

Circa $700.

Windsurfing gear depreciates hell fast.

Check out the 'Buy & Sell' section...you can pick up plenty of 2005 model boards for under a Rio.

That's why I've never bothered to sell my old kit...I'd rather pass it along to a mate who's keen to have a crack.

We have 6 boards between us now Jords, we never trade or sell boards.

I use only one board, carve 122 for all conditions, Kym uses her old flow for speed, her new 08 JP FSW for bump and jump (and my board when its light) also her Evo 80 for waves, we have two other boards that are never used, they are worth nothing as far as trade, but high in sentimental value.

Your board would probably sell on seabreeze for around $500-800, is that enough for you? Or is it worth holding onto it and sailing it in light days? Thats my opinion, second hand gear is worth little, especially after 4-5 seasons....

In saying all that, 111 ltrs is a size that may be in demand,

What are you looking at getting?

there is two ways i took your question
no.1 was price and no.2 was board
so the price im wanting for it would be between 500 min and 600 max, i hate to overprice boards but im always court out under-pricing them.

and board is the F2 chilli what im hoping to get.

so i hope i sell it before the board i want gets sold to some one else.

Don't go showing your hand too soon, sonny. Learn to play the game.

You've gotta know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em...the guy selling the F2 Chilli is gonna put the price up now, and folks are gonna start offering you $400 for your old board...

not sure what has happened to F2 here lately in SEQ? used to be plenty of new ones around a couple of years ago, but no one seems to have new F2 gear here any more not even sure you'd find a chilli on the east coast?

Is f2 a common brand on the west side Jordo?

That is because you are resigning yourself to the goldie. Sail at manly or wello and f2's are more popular- i've even seen a chilli, certainly not a common board here tho (about as common as freestylers ).
