Hi all,
I cracked one of the nylon? clips holding the main loadbearing strap on my prolimit seat harness. Sadly it pretty much renders it useless. to replace the clip will involve some serious stitching and restitching of the heavy duty webbing.
feels like a waste to have to ditch the whole thing for a clip, but in the end repair may not be worth the trouble.
Has anyone tried the repair route on a harness clip before?
Should I just accept it and join the disposable generation?

I'd try repairing it. I have a prolimits harness that's done 10,000km and stitching was falling apart, had my local sail maker do some repair work about 6 months ago and it's still going strong. ( not the same problem as yours ) I prefer to recycle stuff whenever possible, no point it ending up in landfill!

If it's comfortable and you like it, then get it fixed.
Sail fixit places have some kickass sewing machines that can punch threads through really thick harness pad material.
It might not look pretty but you can usually drag another year or three out of them.
Mine is due for another stitch up this year. Usually only costs around $30 which is good value for another year or two use.
Each year I try out new harnesses but it takes a few years for them to shape up right for my scrawny ass so I prefer to keep my old one.

I'd fix it.
Ships chandlers have handy little sewing kits for fixing sails.
