Is the k4 mounting still top in the market or is there some close competition out there.

I assume with those mounts of the back of your harness you wouldn't be able to waterstart in shallow water? ( e.g - starting a speedboard)

Well not better, but different and cheaper :)

mods after were a straight pole like the K4 and a more rugged block for the harness, but V1 worked

Yep i've seen the post before. Just wondering if there was any more similar products on the market. Seeing that the post is from 2014.
Personally its easier to buy one than build one

I use the Wizmount (www.wizmount.com/), but it's quite expensive. Works great though and allows for lots of different angles (and sports).

I like the end of the boom mount on a selfie stick that was posted last season. Great angle
