What sort of idiot would windsurf on freezing water in an isolated, bizarre and sometimes glassy calm spot?

Lago de Nero, a glacier-fed lake on top of the Gavia Pass in Italy, 2600m above sea level. It's a place to take care when windsurfing if you rode a bicycle up there (it's one of the world's most famous cycling climbs) because you really, really, really don't want to face a 17km descent at up to 16% gradient in wet cycling knicks.
