Sue, why don't you ask, look at, take photos of all the formula and slalom guys rigs from Marmong that you sail with every day?

I admire people who are not scared of asking questions. So keep it up Sue . I've learnt one or two things from discussions generated from your threads.

Thanks Jn1.
AUS4 - yep it's on my list. I don't sail at Marmong very often but I'll talk to them about it next time I run into anyone and have a look.I'll also have a play with one on the shore if they'll let me and someone can hold up the heavy sail..
I've still got to pay off the mast I just got for my 'new' 6m 1st which will give me a bit of time to suss the options out decide which one to get.

PS - Apologies as my grumpiness was/is elevated from sitting in a hospital waiting room for the better half of the day.

Sorry to hear that and best wishes....

Maybe there should be an equipment forum, there would only be a few topics with long threads where all the info would be contained. This one could be for just speaking **** and pictures.

'Outhaul'? Surely that's antiquated terminology. When was the last time someone actually hauled on the clew? Should it be called a 'depth tweaker'?

(actually to 'tweak' sounds like you know what you're doing. But like most of my other settings it's mostly a guess)

For those who are frustrated with Sue's posts, I'm curious - how do Sue's posts actually affect you? What is the problem they cause you, that is leading you to be frustrated?

I also like the fact that Sue asks questions. And she's often detailed about the particular issue she's facing. I've learned heaps from both the answers and the questions themselves, even if it's some insight into a problem I've never had, because that helps me when teaching others.

Maybe a "clew(less) tweaker" is more apt?

Sorry, I should have said.

Sue, why don't you ask, look at, take photos of all the formula, slalom, free ride, etc guys rigs from the "GPS Team Challenge" teams of "North Coast Marauders", "Lake Macquarie" etc, that you sail with every day?

I have the maui sails job. get them from remi $100 & they come with everything
in one bag, 2 cleets rope pullies & you can adjust it on both sides of the boom, let it
off or pull it on. I like that cause you can get runs both tacks at canton.
