After hearing of an incident involving a mast, a mast extension and a very sensitive piece of the male anatomy . I wondered just how bad can you hurt yourself, before you even get on the water.
Dislocated a shoulder hoiking a handful of sails over my head when walking down the side of the house to load them into the car. Put a prompt end to that session before it began.
Jumped over the sail when rigging and caught my pinky toe on the foot of the sail, dislocting it Didn't realise it was so bad 'till I got in the water and it felt all floppy
When my mate broke his ankle gybing in shallow water I had retrieve his board and rig about a 1km round trip, I got a bit puffed, He still hasn't sailed since,(still mending)
Left my board on its side in the garage with the fin still attached after a good session and ready for the next day - The "Misses" walked into it, resulted in a trip to hospital and many stitches. That really hurt with all the consequences!!!! I still get it replayed regularly.....
