I'm planning a trip over to Eastern Australia in July/August time from the UK.
Can anyone recommend where is best to travel to for some windsurfing (possibly some kitesurfing too)
Would be looking to hire kit for a few days and have some coaching for a few days. I am an intermediate/advanced windsurer and a complete kitesurf beginner!
Looking for a relatively social area as will be travelling alone.

Cairns and Green Island in North Queensland.
Unfortunately you've chosen to travel in the majority of Australia's winter.
Cold Fronts and blustery conditions. Not great for kiting but can be good for windsurfing.
The further north you head the closer you'll get to the trade winds at that time of year.

Far North Queensland - Cairns etc is the best place for wind at that time of year, but gear hire and coaching will be a problem.
