Can you enjoy windsurfing without using latest race sail or latest slalom board?

I don't fit.. I go upwind c 500m as feel safer having space them play there and only come back at the end..lonely...

I'm the 2nd type broad reaching runs with a vulcan attempted on the end.

Pretty much just sail back and forth on the sand bar in the river trying moves.

Gotta love 16cm fins.

If I don't go upwind to start I always feel like I'm working just to keep in the same spot..maybe I lose too much each gybe..

I too suffer from Multiple Personality Disorder, windsurfing-wise at least.

Until about a week ago I thought I was just the coolest 'bump n jump' freeriding, duck gybing kinda guy. But someone just introduced me to racesails!!! I have now been sucked into the adrenalin rushing,sphinter twitching, rides that the other guys have been crapping on about for years!
