Just looking for advice and input on placement for a safety knife on a Dynabar V8, as I don't see a set location for it. Have never needed one, but would like have it available for emergency use. Thanks for any recommendations.

Put it on kite forum or leave It in your car with your kite

Precut the lines, job done.

Looks like we're having a bad run this year. have a look in the forums menu page, and pick the relevant forum before you post.

It's not hard.

At top of mast would be a pretty good place for it

find a sleeve in your harness somewhere and tuck it in.

I always keep mine beside the intake manifold. It's easy to reach there.

he did also post it in the kite section, maybe the windsurf section has a higher level of expertise and our advice is of great value (according to recent posts.... ) ????

If you buy a NP kite harness it has a line cutter, velcro secured into the spreader bar pad.

I have one, just in case I run into some kiters. :)

Being from the US of A couldn't you just mount it on the outside of your holster and then your colt 45 and your bowie knife are both within easy reach ?

Not sure why you need one though, if you got into trouble wouldn't Bruce Willis drop from a chopper and save you ?

(I have not been to the US of A but I have seen some films about the place)

Ditto for the Mystic Majestic windsurfiing-kitesurfing cross-over* harness that I have.

*Just so there is no misunderstanding.

No it's OK. I get that people say "check out this really good kiteing sight..." and as a first timer you don't know it is actually all about windsurfing - with kiters tolerated

Sigh, but it's so well-padded unlike the classic windsurfing harness. OTOH, it's kinda bulky.

Not if the above is any indication. lol.

In my haste I entered Windsurf general instead of Kitesurf general and found this innocent question from a newbie. From some of the mightier than thou posts I've seen on kite forum from poley's I thought you guys must be a tolerant and friendly bunch. Not so.

Dunno about the others, but I just resent you guys for having it so easy. There, I said it.

Nah all good, I couldn't resist.

Where I kite you guys are a rare breed, so our paths rarely cross but I'm happy to give a wave or a nod and happy to say I usually get one back
