Hello to all ,

Any place you know of to buy a 2nd hand mid level board in Sydney 190 L , width +75 . How much do you think a complete kit would cost and/or just the board , thanks.

Define mid level - 190 is a beginner board .

Can you up haul confidently
Can you beach start
Can you water start
Can you get in harness
Can you get into foot straps

If you can say yes to most of these then look for something about 30 liters more than your body weight as it will use it more than a 190.

What size board and sails have you been using so far.

Why not used the Buy Sell section on the forum here? The boards haven't changed much from about 2004, so perhaps you can save some money to begin with.

If it's for teaching or learning on then a large sup with a mast track would be fine and serve a dual purpose... As an annoyance in ur garage. But if you want to progress and then blast around then a larger free ride board might be a better option.

Windsurfnsnow have some cool gear, I like that shop, but don't discount the buy and sell on seabreeze.

you are better of going to a windsurfing shop to buy the gear you need .theres one or two around sydney .they will tailor a board & sail for your needs. you can try trading post or gumtree or here (buy&sell) good luck buying your new toys.

Thanks to you all , I just went to the Collaroy store you talked about its insanely expensive , with staff quoting a second hand starting price as $ 2600 (board , starter pack , sail , mast , boom etc) crazy stuff , but in my 6months learning I guess its worth it. One more question Does most of the newish equiptment 2007+ use universal parts i.e parts (e.g Sail , mast , boom and mast base) that can be used together. So could in theory use a mast base on any board

^^^ OMG

sounds like way above what you need. Bashed up 150L Starboard Go (but watertight!!), secondhand wave mast, new boom, secondhand wave sail if you bought bit by bit maybe $1000 - 1500.

Yes, and all compatible nowadays - except masts vs sails can be tricky but not at your level.
