I opened this thread expecting to see some old board from the eighties. I was just about to tell you it's a Tencate Runner....

I think it reformats the title bar to make room for the different size of "1 hour ago" and the "44 minutes ago".

Yep thats exactly the first board i had! You from round here?

Did you know the Tencate wasn't ten foot. Ten foot is 120 inches, in old money and truncated to the nearest zero, which equates to approximately a rounded up 3.05m.

Note 3.05 metres is not the same as an American 3.05 meters.

The Tencate was in fact 3.65m, which is closer to ten foot plus a bit than ten foot.

I got kicked out of the pub.

I ordered a pint and the barman gave me two middies.

I tried to point out that an imperial pint is equal to 586ml and that the standard Australian middy is 285ml. Hence two middies is 570ml and therefore the barman was incorrect by 16ml, which is rounded up to almost half a finger.

It was at that point that I was escorted from the premises and I have not been permitted back since.

Fascinating story.
Good to hear there are still some good barmen.

You should have ordered one eighth of a gallon so there was no confusion. And if he argued, give him the full finger instead of the half finger, as you did.
