Is someone able to identify this mast brand? Please avoid guesses to confuse the matter. Any ideas how old it may be? Many thanks, cheers.

more photos would help with less confusion.
Instead of just the dimensions include the logo/writing above the dimensions

Sorry, the mast has a repair and that is the only thing you can reliably see. Something 25 (presumably 25% carbon and something STS) however you can pretty much see that in the photo. I was hoping someone might recognise the pattern / lay-out.

If it is a 490 but has IMCS of 26 then I think it is pretty old/weird/ not much use for modern sails (say, last 10-15yrs)

(If I had to guess)

Also if it has had a repair anywhere, then it is really only useful for beginners in waist deep water, or as a flagpole. You really can't reliable repair masts unless it is a little split at very bottom or replacing the ferrule (if one is very careful)
A repair there, 15 - 30cm up from the bottom(?) sounds very unreliable.

^^ I knew that 5 looked like a familiar font and I reckon you are onto it. Old Fiberspar Reflex. Reflex 3200 (30%) was yellow, wave was blue, a freeride of about 50% has the red lettering/????)
About 2000-04 vintage....?

Fiberspar Reflex, that's what I meant. Nice work. I had the yellow one.

I thought it looked familiar - I've got a similar one which I bought new in the late 90's.

Not true at all about repairing masts, they work fine if it's done right.

I've got an RDM that was repaired 3 years ago and is still going strong and also a 460 SDM that is 2 years on the repair. I've also got a 520 sitting here, that I haven't sailed yet, since the repair, but expect it will be fine, maybe I'll try it today...
