Obviously one was bump n jump and the other pure slalom.

Peter's original ended up as a bridge across a creek in 58 ;) still back his design with fixed rudder , dagger board and UJ as closer to a windsurfer than Darby,s earlier design. Word was Drake visited Hayling island in 58 and witnessed 12 year old Pete carving up the estuary. Drake had attended a aeronautical conference nearby ;)
