Just wondering what size weed fin I will need for a Tabou Rocket 105l, 246 x 63cm ? Stock fin is 34cm. Usually sailing in 15-20kn , freeride. Thanks for any advice.

I match fin size to sail size rather than board size. For 15-20kts I'd use 7.9 and 7.1m2 race sails. For the 7.9 I use a Tribal SW 35 (44cm long). For the 7.1 I use a BP WS 38 (38cm long).

I have the same board ..I use a 33 for the 5.5 -6.5..My 33 has a lot of area ...mauifin .....

36 for the 7.0 JP fin

depending on your weight ...get a 34 ''

Thanks for the feedback. Go to sail is 6.5m, weight 70kg so aim for 30-32 for 20-25kn and 34 for lighter winds?

I'd ask the expert, PM Slowboat and ask which of his Tribals would suit, that's what I did can't go wrong

I have had that board and found that a jp weed 31 works great as a general go to in powered up conditions and then maybe 33 or 34 for lighter days with a 6.5 or 7m
