Very good Alex. What's impressed me is that with all that time chasing wind, when did you learn to sing?

Thanks Ian! Actually none of us are really "musical" (although Anna keeps telling me she studied music at school, I don't think it was her best subject...). I think maybe Alex learnt to sing because he was such a poor sleeper as a baby and Anna spent hours trying to sing him to sleep...

It is funny how this song developed. When Alex first heard Taio Cruz's song "Dynamite" we were about to go to Curacao for the Slalom Worlds. So the first words of the song were "Ay-oh!" Curacao" since they fitted so well with the original lyrics. As time went on we all kept throwing in new lines until the whole song was written.

I think we must've needed a good Windsurfing anthem... Now it's my favourite song to play on the way to the beach.

I asked Alex what he wanted to say to everyone on the forum. He has been reading the comments and is totally overwhelmed. I don't think he was sure how everyone would feel about the song. He is really happy that everyone likes it.

Thanks for all your comments and support. Thanks to everyone who has sent PMs too. All much appreciated.

When you hear Roy Orbison's song in the video above, it makes it even clearer that we needed a new Windsurfing song....

I'm not sure what the move is really called but I call it the "Caesar Boomerang" because Caesar taught it to me. If you want to see more of Caesar's amazing moves look at another of Dad's movies called "Windance". If you want to learn to windsurf even better, practise in light winds teaches you great rig handling skills that help heaps when the wind gets stronger.

By the way, the words to "Windsurfing's Dynamite" are on my website: www.alexhalank.com

Wow. What can I say? I think your video epitomizes the joy of windsurfing and that amazing combination of wind and water. Can't wait to show it to my kids.

I've had bits of it going through my head all weekend too. Songs which do that are usually hits! Get it out there on you tube and the kid's shows!

I see the video has gone global, being endorsed on Riks Facebook page (as in Riks windsurfing, UK)

Thanks for showing this Alex.

My wife and I watched it last night and really enjoyed it. She does go windsurfing so she really appreciated your abilities as a windsurfer and we like how you are clearly having a lot of fun windsurfing.

You are right, windsurfing is dynamite.

What a Ripper.

It has taken me 20 years to Sail Half as well as you do.

I hope my boys Robby(6) and Jed(3) will follow in your footstraps.

Truly inspirational.
