Went to the local Sprint auto today looking for 2 pack in a spray can, didnt have it so will have to look elsewhere. I've used acrylic auto paint just recently and just doesnt cut it, to soft and scratched up after 1 outing. While there i inquired about epoxy enamel and they have VHT high temp epoxy enamel in a closer colour than another option i was considering in the Killrust ( epoxy enamel) range. The killrust is only available in darker colour than I would have liked but I know its good stuff. Can anyone rate the VHT product?

I have used the VHT clear on a different job to yours. It had a tendency to yellow with time. Maybe the best thing is to do a test piece and put it in the hot sun for a few days.

Often the hi temps need to be cured at temperature to be truly hardened.
So it may be no different or even a little softer

Also the durablility of these so-called epoxy paints is just due to addition of solids...... they don't actually cure like a proper 2 part epoxy or polyurethane (I think...)

However I've used a few VHT products on car projects a while back and they are very good. Spray nicely

The VHT product works really well for tagging, really hard to remove so its what we mainly use.
