Hola, I am planning a windsurf, SUP and scuba dive vacation to AU NZ and Fiji ( April and May).
Need tips on windsurfing season in these locations to book my itinerary. I normally sail 3.7 to 5.2

April and May are in our Autumn here in the Southern hemisphere, so we expect the winds to be light. I live in Melbourne, Victoria and usually there will be minimal winds, as shown on these old graphs:

(but this year defied all the stats and it was extremely good).

Can???t speak for other states in Australia or NZ, but perhaps others will reply.

yup... april / may are transitional months. I'd say Maui and Punta San Carlos in Mexico are good around that time but that's not AU / NZ. I am guessing you are coming without your gear so you will need a place where you can rent. There aren't many options for renting gear in Australia. Some of the shops might be able to rent gear but as others said the Seabreeze season is well and truly over by then. You might get the odd one but it unreliable.

The wind up in North Queensland is starting to pick up but it's also unreliable at that time and there aren't really any options for hiring quality gear. Diving should be good though.

In Sydney there are some good options for SUP. You can get in touch with Windsurf and Snow for some rentals (they do both SUP and Windsurf). Added benefit of Sydney is that if you travel with a partner they can do other stuff while you go out on the water. But I wouldn't come to Sydney purely to windsurf. There are plenty of better places in Australia.
