This might be helpful. The' other' threads re the LT have become, shall we say, confused and cluttered as to their topic.

As someone keenly enjoying the LT and hoping to do some major regattas in the future, but not able to regularly race others, a thread where aspects of sailing the LT are shared and discussed might be cool. Tuning, racing discussion, sharing stoke. Some great stuff in other threads but it's buried in pages and pages of 'other stuff' now.

If you want to suggest the LT is better/more popular etc etc do it in other threads. Compare to race boards elsewhere. Hack on the LT and call it stupid somewhere else... please. I don't think the LT is better than anything really (I have ordered a new short board recently), I just like it.

So, my first question: VMG downwind. Post nationals people might have more thoughts now on when running square is good and when reaching works better. If reaching, how deep? Is planing the priority etc etc.

That's a good request. I would be highly interrested in hints for tuning the LT equipment. I just ordered my LT, so I'm completly new to the board.

I posted a tuning question over the weekend on the NSW LT Facebook page with good results. I'll tune in here to see what happens...
