I coloured the epoxy laminated white, I read a while back that tints and pigments can weaken the resin matrix a bit, even at the 2 to 3% they recommend and that the liquid tints produce a slightly weaker laminate than the powder( I've searched the net for ages looking for the article again, but I cant find it

) So I sourced a powdered form of opaque tint and added it to my resin.
I didn't do the swirl thing as after doing many, many test panels with liquid and powdered pigments I couldn't get the clarity I was after, see pics below of what I was after and as the boards were for me I didn't want the "muddy" look, so I went for boring white.

After a lot of research I found out that as epoxy takes so long to set, the colours bleed into each other, but if done in polyester resin as in the pics you can mix in an additive to make it set within minutes giving clean clear definitions. like below
