Yoo-hoo, been sailing on somewhat slippery pads for a long time. I know a friend of mine put wax on his pads. I have replaced mine once.

Just wondering what you all do about that? Some boards last longer than others. Black seems to be the best color for durability but some white pads are still good.

Out of all of the boards are tried I like the waffle pattern for them. The diamond ones seem to wear faster and not grip as well.

It's interesting. When falling off, my foot slides in and out of straps a lot, particularly on backloops, also on wave 360s. Surely it d cause irritation. I actually had to add a piece of inner tube around the front base of all straps to minimize friction.

Still that's the technique I use to increase deck grip except I just use matte clear coat.
