Just have got a quiver of Simmer BlackTips. Trying to decide which masts to got for. Basically options are Simmer SX8/SX10 or Nolimitz Sumo. I am leaning towards Nolimitz, since they look better from durability/weight standpoint and I would like to get into wavesailing in future. Please share you experience if you use Simmer/Nolimitz for waves.

hi forrest, i've used the SX8 and SX10 on 2023 blacktips
Both feel fantastic but I prefer the SX10. It seems to have a slightly different bend curve and rigs with less leech twist and a marginally flatter top section. The sail makes more power with the SX10 and is more stable/lighter feeling. Definitely an improvement over the SX8
No issues with durability and i think both have the same 2 yr warranty

Never tried a Nolimitz, but approach with caution. Their website does not list compatibility with Simmer

Hardly anyone breaks RDM masts anymore.
Yes the Sumo might be stronger but I know plenty of animals using Simmer and they're not breaking masts. Go the Simmer and don't lose any sleep

No limitz are no good with the blacktips. Ezzy masts work well.. And you can buy them in sections which is helpful.
