Apparently ...

Polesurfing is addictive, unhealthy and can cause you harm.

Discourage polesmokers.

lol.

keep trying waveslave, somewhere in the world, there is someone who finds you witty and funny. you just have to keep looking. a real touching story this one, a kitesurfer, shunned by his own, starved for attention, looking for acknowledgement. consider this a first step, and a vote of encouragement, you have my attention. could be an oscar in it.

Anything that can get kids/adults away from modern electronic gadgets is healthy.

We are becoming a nation of sloths.

Should waveslave's profile come with a similar warning?

Plain packaging would be great, so much easier to sneak stuff into the shed.

Although the Postie will wonder how you would use a 2m round cylindrical item

I wonder whether WS would have any suggestions. He's funny.

I loled at the tread title.

If I was to think up a title that took a satirical dig at the windsurfing forum this would come close.

Every time I get on the water I seem to smoke some teabaggers (they're so slow) its a little addictive and not illegal.....yet. I need to get myself a GPS and aim a little higher

Yes - it is!

Going by the multitude of beers I have afterwards whilst I sit back & reflect on the awesome sesh I just had - I know they aren't good for me but I can't help myself so I guess that statement is also correct!

As with any sport that pushes you to your limits physically & mentally - you sir are correct! Additionally, harm can come from outside the sport when your excuses to go windsurfing backfire & items start being thrown at you from your spouse.

I'm not sure what this means, but my teenage nieces seem to use it a lot in their sms's to their friends. I had assumed that it was some form of ghey acronym for 'lots of love'...I may be wrong?

Yes, you are right. I couldn't help myself. I went out on a 20/25 knot day, which turned into a 25/30 knot day, and now my arms ache. They are so tired.

Luckily it is only a light forecast tomorrow, so I guess its time to rest the weary body.

Maybe kitesurfing can be the 'I've had too much fun windsurfing' recovery therapy?

I have to give you credit WS, that thread topic cracked me up. Can't believe you still get so many bites from the poleys.

I reckon the reason you won't change your dicks in ears avatar is because you won't give in to a bunch of poleys. Fair enough but you loose either way because you have dicks in your ears.

Given Wave slaveSnakes avatar it could be naturally assumed that he is extremely interested in 'smoking' poles when they no longer fit in his ears or other parts of his anatomy.

Medication wearing off again little man or are you back to self medicating... Hence the smoking reference?

Next you'll be talking to yourself again man,
No way dude

^^^That's a bit harsh as a first post without viewing WS past gee-ups. IMO as far as this one goes it's one of the funnier trolling threads from Wave Slave (check his initials WS = Wind Surfer). He's just an ex-poley that's bored with just going straight and bobbing up & down out of the water on his kite strings so is spending his spare time trolling instead.

Besides, there's no real threat to windsurfing - there seems to be plenty of interest in it lately - especially from ex-kiters that get bored once they learn the basics & realise that kitesurfing IS 'the basics'.

Yeah with a lot of sports going back and forth in a straight line gets piss boring, very quickly. I think kiting is more fun going back & forth in a straight line than windsurfing is, but there there are too many limitations on kiting to make me give up my windsurfing gear. Flat water or onshore slop then I'll kite, decent waves 3ft+ then poley gear.

I'm a bit behind in the lingo but I lol'd when I realised a pole dancer was me. It's about time we had a respectably insulting nickname that is more interesting than yachties shaking their fist at me and telling me to $%^ off.

From this day on, when blokes at work ask me what I'm doing this weekend I shall tell them I am going pole dancing.

Be very careful with that Cluffy.

If the blokes at your work are kiters and you tell them you are going pole dancing they will all want to watch.

Some may even try to stuff $5 notes into your boardshorts. Make sure you have a wettie under your shorts just in case they too excited and try to push those notes right in. It is a little trick they have worked out amongst themselves.

I beg to differ, Lotofwind. ^^^

Only a small minority are crude, rude, and nasty.

Overall, the pole forum members are mellow dudes.

Please don't tar them all with the same brush.

Thanks.
