Hi

I have 3 OD, 6.2 ; 7.0 and 8.5. I like the sails very much, great power, easy to rig and handle in the water!!
I am now considering in buying a 7.8 and have offers for a OD R6 7.8 and a 2015 7.8 Gaastra Phantom.

I´m thinking in giving a go at gaastra as they say it less physical than the OD. But i´m afraid i will loose performance and speed!!

Has anyone tried both sails and can give some tips?

I´m 46, windsurf for 7 years in flat to choppy ocean water.
I have Isonic 97, 107 and 117W.

Get what best suits your mast.

^^^^^ what he said only change sail maker provided you're prepared to buy a new mast some are compatable a lot are not .

Agree ..stick with severne.....the gaastra will work ok on your mast ..being a hard top
but I've had a few Gaastras ...sold them ..found they either lacked bottom end or hard to find the sweet spot .

Yes, all my mast are Severne blue line, 75 C, so i better stick to another severne :)
