Anyone got any feedback on the Enigman Wave boom from Severene? Any ideas on cost and where to get one?

Got to use one a few weeks ago,it is awesome!!!, like no other boom on the market.
I have been using pryde x9 booms for the last few years and compared to the enigma they floppy(at the adjustment point)heavy and fat,also have had to replace the mast clamp lever on them.
The severne boom is stiffer and lighter than you could ever imagine.Some of us that used it commented that you wouldn't want to head butt it and it could knock your teeth out.
It is way thinner than other booms on the market,I think 25mm, like a kids or chicks boom.
It was the same weight as my sons kids boom,extremely light.
Cost? priceless I reckon!
Where to buy? Let me know if you find out! I sooo badly want 1,make that 2.

i've had one for about 8 months and it's definately the best boom i've ever owned hands down.. i even run it on a 6m and it feels the same as it does on a 4.7.. most booms start to fell floppy on lots of extension but these are sweet.. the grip size lets you really feel the sail and control it and the width is perfect for wavesailing,

yer they are a bit pricey but well worth the cash for something you will use for years...

there is one in buy and sell in SA.

They must be nice and light. The boys reckon Ben's whole rig comes in at 4.5kgs! That's crazy.

Unfortunately I bought the now superseded Redline at full retail a year ago..

Now it's gathering dust in the van as I've been borrowing an Enigma.

So... I haven't paid anything for mine cause I don't own it. But I have spent the same dosh on a boom only to find its now obsolete. Ouch!. I'm still qualified to comment on value.. Which is what OP was after.

Basically the grip size, weight, stiffness and shape of the enigma make it a BIG step forward in windsurfing booms. And speculation over the price?, as KA360 pointed out, its priceless, especially considering the price and build and ergonomics of the alternatives.

(for sale, one redline carbon: quick sale, need cash!)

The enigma boom is around $950 if memory serves me correctly.

damn good price for the quality of it too, i havnt sailed with one yet but i had a play with it in the shop and damn it feels good! VERY stiff and just awesome to hold onto at 25mm

One day i will have one haha!

What other carbon booms have you had to compare with?

I still own an Aeron carbon wave 150, this boom is stiff, width is good, even has a 26mm grip, good boom but the weight to get it this good, they had to use a bit to much carbon and it weighs alot for a wave boom, so benefits of a light carbon boom go out the window.

used a few HPL's ect to but only for test sails..

And alloy i've had a stack and they all feel pretty good until you extend them out a bit, then spongy..

The enigma was just a test ride, and i had to buy it because i wasn't giving it back and it's 140 long so only now need to carry one boom for 4.0 to 6.0 and it fells sweet on every sail..

And yes my rig is super lite and i'm lovin it..

I think this Aeron is the same as my Redline.

I've sailed all the market leading booms. Heres my wrap (I know I'm gunna get some red thumbs from the Pryde and Aluminum fanboys who walk around the beach without pants scaring kids)

New X9 Prydes... Wrong shape, to thick @28mm, heavy, expensive, whats with the monster tail piece?! (4/10)

Maui Sails.. very stiff, nice shape, used by many PWA sailors on different brands, front clamp to big, to thick (8/10)

Streamlined... fat grip, American, clamp looks like a star trek prop(7/10)

Al360.. If you buy this u are Italian, and it feels like penis (anyone who has sailed this boom will know what I mean) 6/10

Redline/Aeron... see P.C post 7.5/10

X9 pryde...Seriously almost all carbon wave booms are around $1000 these days, there are a few exceptions. I recently sailed with an enigma boom....i'm buying one :)
