Im looking to purchase a new smaller freeride sail to go with my 2015 7.5m NCX and im thinking of getting a 6.5M NCX to pair with my 113L starboard kode / 120L RRD firerace.

The 2016 6.5m NCX is tempting because I already have a 2015 75% 460cm SDM severne mast and with a luff length of 461cm I should be able to squeeze it onto the 460cm (despite it being reccomended with a 430) to avoid having to buy a 430cm mast (I use a 400cm for my wave sails).

Im just a little worried that the increased mast stiffness will affect the sails rigging? Obviously I will want this sail for stronger winds to complement my 7.5m but I wonder whether the masts stiffness will offset the upper wind range I would get out of the 6.5m?
