In the dog box big time

I'm supposed to be at other half's staff christmas party, but it was blowing hard this arvo and the boss let me go at 4.

X-mas party didn't even register till I arrived home to a note with a lot of
!@$@#$ and %$#@$ and !$#%!ing in it, which is also quite possibly engraved into the benchtop below it.

Worth it

p.s. - Best place to buy flowers?

If I were you, I would hide all of the power tools and any other "Implements Of Distruction" that she may find. This way it will only be the kitchen bench that needs replacing. And anyway, Who in there right mind thows a Christmas Party on a Tuesday night?? And on a windy Tuesday at that? No consideration

Ring her up now whilst she is at the party and tell her you are at a brothel, having just finished the deed, and drinking to excess in the spa with the next one you are going to shag, and you bought a sports car on credit today.

Then say "Not really, see it could be worse"

It will work.

My "better half" always gives me a hard time about me spending every last cent ond windsurfing and my answer is:"better than sitting in a bar and drinking every weekend" then she shuts up usually and everything cools off in matter of minutes... :D

Turn up to the party in your wetsuit, apologise profusely and say you came as soon as you saw her note...

Forget the flowers..if she likes restuarants or buying clothes you can offer her a great night out or a shopping spree ( whenever you stuff up) Thats should keep her happy ..mind you it could get expensive & wreck your enjoyment of a sail ...

just tell her that she comes a veeeeery close 2nd to windsurfing! She should be happy with that...no?

Just install airconditioning a TV and a fridge into your dog box

It's gonna happen again so at least you may as well be comfortable over summer

I dont know why they think they are punishing us by not letting us sleep in the big bed and kicking us out for the night,,,,
I use to love it,,,its like camping.

but dont let them know that,,

LOL @ you lot. Spare bed got used but I woke up with all my tackle, both eybrows and everything else so all is good. It has been not so subtely suggested that this years chrissy pressie better be a winner.

Pressure is on, but heck I got a good sail and a good nights sleep. 2/3 aint bad

Nope. He gets a brand new mast and more time to use it. How can that be bad.

More seriously, the logic is that you love to windsurf. It's a good healthy thing to do. It makes you fit and healthy and happy. It's what you and what you are.

If she gives you a hard time about it she obviously doesn't care about you. Better to send her on her way right now and stop wasting good sailing time.

Have to agree.
I know it's a joke thread, but this whole "always in the ****, only the depth varies" thing in marriages is so bogus.
Man should be able to stay fit and happy, just as woman should.

That's pretty much the norm.
People everyday will demand that you share or adopt their belief systems, without any intention or possibility of adopting yours.
Nothing new here, move along..............

These issues pop up all the time on a musicians forum I frequent.
Spouses/SO's like having a talented partner, but won't give them time or resources to develop or maintain their talent, typically having no idea of the intensity of work that made them so "cool" in the first place.
