Wingdings are like mosquitoes buzzing around my head. The more I swat at them, the more they multiply. Reminds me of when snowboarding first began, or kiting, or stand-up. They seem expensive in my opinion due to a combination of demand driven from a new growing sport and limited supply as a function of the pandemic. Many manufacturers are playing in the market which is the new craze a bit like yo-yos and mini-bikes in the 1970s. I have tried a Wind Wing and I might buy one later when the prices come down. Maybe not, in any event, as windsurfing is still tops and time is limited.

As Subsonic said there is a wing foiling section which is where these should live already.

Where I often sail, Crissy field in San Francisco, the Wings have all but obliterated Kites and taken a few windsurfers with them. It is actually a nice development. Gone are the 20 meters long kite lines spreads on the beach, the more than sailboat-sized width of the kites on the water, the idiots who insist doing jumps or turns one meter from the beach, or do beach starts 20 meters from the water ...

Yes, wings are a bit like mosquitoes, they seem to congregate in groups and it is good to stay away because, like mosquitoes, they do not seem to be able to sail very straight, nor seem aware of any right of way rules. But they are so slow that it is not so hard to do they deserve a forum!
