Anyone tried them?

It's a fair bit of money, but the idea of having racks I can switch over is appealing, as I tend to have cheaper cars that I change over. However! The idea of trusting suction cups is... slightly nerve inducing. This is for a windsurfer LT - well within their limits but a pretty big board nonetheless...

Anyone?

I have never tried these , because I wouldn't.
There is no way I would trust them .
Neither should anyone following your car .
And only $ 750
Do they come with liability cover for the poor motorcyclist with the imbedded LT ?

IMAX I'm trying to believe here, OK...? :)

I think you've just killed them for me.

Sucker is right! You used to see sucker type roof racks here( France) for snowboards. They had a safety strap that closed in the door for when they came unstuck. Let's just say you don't see them anymore! Check out the angle of the racks on that sports car. Imagine your board on there doing 80 km/h.

I have them and use regularly. Two main issues: very noisy above 50km/k without any load, but with a board strapped on it's fine. Also very easy to take off, so I wouldn't park your car overnight in a dodgy neighborhood.

Otherwise they do the job really well, I've tried up to 100km/h, no problems. There is one guy on YouTube who tried it in high speeds on his Lambo with a roof box. The thing got ripped off the roof after 250kmh or something only

I'm 100 percent with Imax1. Also, for 750, you could afford a good brand of rack plus keep the bars and change the fitting kit at least once if not twice when changing over cars
