Does anyone know if there are any videos or other info about the web that shows how the "sanded" finish is applied/created? As in this sort of thing:

After the board has been laminted with carbon or glass and black pigmented resin and it has dried a filler coat of resin, thickner and pigment is applied to the board. After this layer has dried the board is sanded back until the black underneath starts to show through, a light clear 2 pack paint is then sprayed on. Well thats how I do it. Others spray a coloured 2 pack paint on then sand this back. I start with 80 grit then 120 then 240 wet, wet and dry then 360 wet, wet and dry.

A tip for sanding that I use is I rub over everything with a pencil & when the pencil marks come out its time for the next grit repeat until you have got to the required grit you desire. This saves much unnecessary sanding & ensures you have got all the scratches from the coarser grit out.
I read this in a book on finishing timber but have found it so effective that I use it now on everything I'm sanding

^^ Yeah basically the same idea but pencil is ready to go instantly & you can redo areas your not sure about & its not like you have to colour the whole board in just some lines to see when your through the previous grit .
