Very good sailing in East and South-East - particularly if it lines up with some ocean swell, for some wave riding and starboard-tack jumping.
Gusty but sailable in a Southerly.
Possible to sail in South-west... but I would only recommend low tide, so that you can walk your kit back into wind.
Mostly unsailable (or not safe at all) for any other direction.

NNW is dead offshore, with the wind coming from over the top of the highest cliff... so it never touches down on the water until quite far outside the point.

Never sailed there but awsome place. Those cliffs are high. You wouldn't want to sail there on dead offshore howler.

I had a sweet little session there a couple of years back, was only 1-2 foot but glassy cross off. 15-20 knot gusty SW wind from memory, kinda funnels through the car park area.

I had a bad experience there in a strong northerly last summer. Cliffs to big and air is dirty until you get well out side the point. You need biggish gear to get out there and then it's too strong for the gear you're on. Hell of a time getting back in, just snuck back inside the point battling wind chop coming out against the swell. Wait for a South wester and go five minutes down the road to Urquharts bluff, great ocean sailing.

Just to add.... surfing (vs windsurfing) is ok, but sup-surfing is there is very good -> long rides. And SUP-sailing is good too [ just not in anything with a northerly ]
