I used to windsurf a bit but now mainly SUP. All these northerlies in Qld have made the surf pretty crap for the last few weeks so I have been lurking reading the Windsurf and Kiting forums.

This Vid was posted by a well known SUPer and Breezer DJ! He rigged up his Naish12 Glide for a sail. It has inspired me to get back into windsurfing. Thought you might like it.

a good video. I can see the appeal of paddling, especially when there is no wind or when paddling out and catching waves. However when the wind is up, why paddle and do all that hard work when you can sail and take it easy?

I have been given one (Starboard 12.6). I don't think I would have bought one - it's too much of a compromise. But given the price, it's actually quite fun under say 15 knots, also good for social and teaching. Much better than not going.
