I am in Geraldton W.A. restoring a sailing ex cray boat. Our engine is a Perkins 4-236 U marine diesel which needs a Serck heat exchanger no. 445144011 and a Serck Engine oil cooler. Any information leading to used or recon parts somewhere within Australia would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried calling a Perkins marine dealer?

and does it necessarily have to be a serck one? why cant you just get a similar one or a custom made one.

sometimes you need to sacrifice genuine"ness" for something modern and available....

A Perkins diesel cannot be that old, 30 years max?
This is almost the average boat age at my local yachting club...
Restoring the craft is often more work than the motor itself... good luck there.

Doesn't help you any 2Aloha but saw some beautifully restored boats of all kinds at Hobart's Wooden Boat Festival on the weekend. Sailing ex cray boat, gorgeous.
