Btw, noticed you did the whole dahab thing. Any advice for someone looking to do it on the cheap? Thinking about Dahab, Jeri or Maui sometime next year.

Ive never been to maui but jeri is a million times better than dahab.. jeri has wind every day and atmosphere, les E. Coli, less dust and no Egyptians... and more brazilians..


Dahab is better from europe cause its close...

Looks like the list is down to maui or jeri. Most people here want to go to maui it seems, but in bris i mostly end up sailing flat water so i think i'd probably rather go to jeri. Seem to be pretty much same price either way, maui has cheaper flights but everything else is more expensive, so probably evens out.

It depends on what time of year you want to sail.

Geri is Nov - feb
Maio is May - august

Can sail out of those months but not as consistant.

move Jeri forward at least 2 months.. I was flat out on 4.2 every day from early September, and that was not even the start of the season.. the wind is a bit lighter after Christmas apparently.. 4.7-5.3 weather..

yeah great to see a sequence with spills and all. Can learn from that without getting to depressed!
