I'm relocating to San Francisco and trying to determine which gear is worth keeping/taking with me.

Does anyone know the typical sail and board sizes being used in vicinity to the city?

Also, are there any wave spots which are suitable for a beginner wave sailor (I've spent 10 days in WA this year to learn).

Everything. The bay and coast has every type of condition imaginable. Waddell Creek is the best wave spot, cold water and big sharks! Gear is much cheaper in the USA so no problem if you don't bring it all.

Something like these a 110 liter 95 85 would do.

for most of the time. Sails to support those. Huge Formula scene.

san Francisco, side is but one option. East Bay and east to Rio Vista , which is warmer, and Gorge like.
waddell is further south, near to Santa Cruz.

Equipment cost is actually about the same when you figure in the exchange rate, which makes it good for us here in the states to buy from Au. if shipping is cheap (small items only). But the cost of living in the S.F. area is much higher. S. F. proper (the city) has just about the highest cost of living in the entire country, only a few places along the east coast is higher. Living outside of the city saves you money, but commuting to the sailing spots in or near the city (Chrissy Field, Coyote Pt., etc.) can be a nightmare, serious traffic. There are many other spots outside the city area, all the way around the bay, and up and down the coast. Foiling in the bay is catching on big time.

Sharks? More sharks and shark attacks in Au., it's not even close. Wetsuits required all year, but your skin prefers that anyway.

I have a 111 fsw, 95 quad, and 84 fsw thruster and matching sails. I guess I gotta keep it all then :)

What's the smallest sail size (80kg) I'd need? I've got a 4.5, would I also need a 4.0?

On some days, but not that many. More 4.0 days on the coast, our spring thru early summer.
