This season the Raceboard Nationals are on at a new time, 18 - 22 March 2024. So what ever commitments you have over the traditional holiday period you can still do and race later in the season, WIN WIN!

So book in and mark it in your calendar.

The location is fantastic the lovely white sands of Jervis Bay, grassy rigging and a short sail out to the start.

See you there.

Day 1. Building Noreaster, dolphins playing in the shallows. We got in 2 sessions each of 2 races. The first session was light with plenty of pumping on the runs. Session 2 after lunch was getting into planing conditions with the odd hole. Sunshine and sparkly water what fun!

After a blow out due to the Gale warning we were back on the water today. 10 -15Kn from the south with a bit of a swell coming into the bay and a few waves from the fetch of the bay. That made it a bit challenging for those from flatwater locations. 4 wins to Nathan but he didn't have it all his own way with Richie and James giving him plenty to think about. In the sprint fleet with Anibal leaving the competition Phil has picked up the lead in that division. Final day tomorrow, what will be in store for us?

Final day of the Raceboard Nationals. The morning started of very light from the west with a light NEaster forecast. So we just had to wait for the wind to sort itself out. The Jervis Bay Sailing Club who were looking after us for this week were able to get us underway at 12:30 in the new NEaster. It was a little patchy but a few gusts kept coming through giving us hope it would kick in a bit more than the forecast. In the end all it managed was 6-12kn in the window we had until 3pm for our last possible start for the series. Nathan went into the final day with 6 wins on his scoresheet, and 4 points ahead of Richie who was keen to shake it up a bit. They both tried hard with Richie taking out the 3 races of the day but Nathan was able to stay close enough to maintain a lead and take out the title.

Lissa McMillan was again the top women but also getting 3rd GrandMaster and 3rd Lightweight.

Phil Gale from Illawarra took out the Sprint series in his first regatta with us, looking forward to him joining full course fleet soon.

Congratulations to all sailors especially to those category placegetters especially those getting a medal for the first time.
