Just wondering what people's opinion on the Quatro Freemove 140 was. Can't seem to find much online about it. Has the board been discontinued or rebadged under a new name? Specifically how well does this board deal with chop and how stable is it?
I researched the same board (probably for the same reasons) and also couldn't find much. But I did find this on Isthmus testimonials.
"10.07.08 Guys, I???ve been a loyal customer for well over a decade and have often thought about emailing, but never quite got around to it. This time is different. I bought one of your deeply discounted ???07 Quatro Freemove boards, a 140, a little over a month ago from Jon. This was in spite of mediocre reviews in Wind Surfing, due mainly to its less than stellar early planing and speed. The review did say, however, that it was the first board testers ran to when the wind picked up. Both characteristics were attributed to the fact that it essentially is a ginormous wave board. I figured it would be good for our typically gusty conditions, and was I ever right! I sailed it with a 7.5 for the second time on Saturday (see below), and it was awesome! It handled like a dream; I never felt over-boarded for a minute! So thanks for the killer deal on such a killer board. (I did go to smaller gear on Sunday)."
-Looks like the board has a heap of Vee which explains why it may be slower to plane (for a 140 lt), but stays in control when the wind pics up. The board itself looks really nice! Hope this helps.
