so I go out and buy a sail to use in the conditions of late (10-15 knots) and what happens????wind decreases to 5-10 knots..currently 6.7.....And yes I know, it's always windy in WA......I hear gnaraloo is gnarly???

At least you Qlders are used to having no wind, for us it's like coming off a drug of addiction you get sweats, muscle cramps, strong withdrawal nightmares

The way it's going at the moment if we do get any wind I will be sailing in my backyard. I could almost run a wave fin out there.

You Queenslanders have had heaps of wind over summer. Us poor New South Welshmen have to put up with dodgy winds as well as a dodgy state government who taxes the last cent out of us and provides bugger all in return.
