Been here 2 weeks. 1st 3 days, good wind and major jetlag.
Been "10-15" since, except for 2 days last week of 21.
Now, predictions for "10-15" for the next week.
What to do with windsurf 5.5 and 100 liter board for a 74 kg rider?
Any other gear is basically impossible to come by.
When it gusts to "17", I'm solidly planing, but that is minimum.

Dude - you are awesome and you have more knowledge about all aspects of windsurfing than any other person on this planet.
Just say "I am awesome" and you will get planing. Good luck with that.

Just bored. Waves too big at some beaches with onshore wind......but others, waves almost too small.
Can't seem to find anything in the 1 meter sizing, which at least could be ridden with conditions and gear on hand.
Too decrepit to surf head high shorepound in onshore slop.
Paradise is not always perfect.

Why did you not go to Bonaire? Tons of windsurfing rental equipment, huge lagoon. Or Baja California, Sea of Cortez, great windsurfing resort there too.

Been coming here for 10 years. Beats 42 degrees and rain in San Francisco.
Been doing water sports too long to want it year round. Need the break of around 4 months.
Been windsurfing around 170 days a year past 10 years, about 100 per for 27 rears before that.

I though Puerto Rico was part of the US of A ?

If so then maybe look for something in the 3 to 4 feet range ?

Search Ceiba, PR. Looks exactly that. Small beachbreak closeout, sandy beach, onshore breeze, long wave rides into 6" of water...8" wave fin.

Ok, you got me flummoxed.....
I'm in PR.
I normally live 17 miles from San Francisco.
It's 82 degrees f here.
It's 46 degrees right now in SF.
Plenty of New Years, there is snow down to the surf in SF. Meaning, sub 35.

Yes, Australia has been metric since the early 70s. If a number is posted without units, then we assume it's metric, hence LeeD's reference to 42 to most of the readers meant 42 degrees Celsius or about 108 degrees Fahrenheit in the old money.

However with board and wind speed, the standard used in the Australian sailing community is knots and not mph or KMPH.
