Has anyone done this with any success?

I believe there is an adapter available that makes things easier

Iv done it both ways around . Problem is , the powerbox head is a couple mm longer than a Tuttle . Both same width at board level at 16mm. So if there is an adaptor you would need to grind some off the ends . If you were to mould a new head around the old one make sure its resin , not plastic , because it wont stick . Also put double barrel nuts in . You would need to make sure the new nuts are in the main fin part that goes in the head or the fin will easily snap out . It can be done but it's a lot of work .

2 barrel nuts . The brass things the screws screw into . Tuttle use 2.
