Greets. I',m interested in the 4-batten 2014 Salt 5,6. Anyone gave it a try, or perhaps other sizes? My only concern is that I will be using it for flatwater, not wave use, and whether it makes for a good combo with single fin fsw boards.

My son uses the salt 4.8 for freestyling and small wave riding.

For flat water sailing on a fsw you would be better off with a P7 Sado, I have the 5.4 that I rig on a 90 jp fsw, great combo.

Sail has lot of grunt (5 battens) and great balance.

But I still prefer my P7cammed sails...

Yeah, the Sado has a lot more grunt. It's the onshore wave sail (equivalent to the NP Atlas). The Salt is one of the most popular sails in their range though; I think it's a pretty versatile sail. I primarily used Salt's as my wavesail of choice but it depowers quite quickly as it was designed as a down-the-line wave sail so it doesn't have as much shape down low. I would go for the Sado.

Thanks! Sado is not in stock..only Salt 5.6 and the Slansh 5.2..maybe i should go for the latter instead?:)

the slash is a pure "hard core" freestyle sail, probably depowers quite quick too.
