From the 19th to the 25th it's on. The first wave event of the 2024 tour.

First day non contestable, dead onshore.....

Tomorrow skippers meeting at 06:30, it seems already scrambling for a result. I hope they get it.... Last day might be windy and of course next week, after the event it will be windy......

Nice one from Ben and Paul with Simeon Glasson and
Boujma Guillol on board:

Good to see they got a result. Conditions looked like mushy UK south coast cr4p.

Crazy to think he only brought one board (75 l) and one sail (4.6) to Japan as opposed to many of the top riders logging around 8 boards and umpteen sails..... The guy likes to travel light!

I feel sorry for the guy missing out on the great ritual of windsurfing: Showing up at the beach, staring at the water and asking your mate, "Whacha riggin?" Then dithering for another ten minutes while staring at your pile of gear in the back of the van.

More seriously, nice conversation about lighter guys on tour, like Bernd and Thomas Traversa, getting by with less gear.
