I rented an RRD x fire the other day in New Cal. At a 100l you can blast this thing like a slalom board, it cuts through chop like nothing else, and the jibe is super, I reckon you could slash small waves with this thing even though it didn't look like it was designed for it.
I've had a range of FSW boards and this would be a worthy competitor.
Did the person(s) that red thumbed me do so because the board was red, or you have actually tried this board and have a differing opinion. Please tell, this is the benefit of being in a forum community, being able to learn from others experience.
@ Mark, I just read the latest bieardseeker test on FSW's and the JP -92 FSW thruster was reported as being the most wave competent. I may have to give one a try!
Oops, now I know why I got red thumbs

it was the Firemove I was referring to. Very confusing, so many models gave the word FIRE, in the name.
Just checked their site and if I hadn't used the board I would have called their description marketing hype, but its mostly accurate.
"Light feel, great control, quick manouvers
Freemove
The firemove complete the whole new “FIRE” family of our range. The closest freemove boards to a pure freestyle wave, the Firemove, incorporate a lively feeling with a great speed and control potential. The perfect match for those looking for fun both in light winds and choppy waters without sacrificing planing and manouverability."
