I hear the next Olympics will have Pokemon go hunting. Start training kids.

On the 7 app as a premium customer, you can access the sailing videos, including the RSX men's & womens.
As a Telstra customer it's a freebie vs paying $20 or so
however....it don't work. I managed to watch the first couple of races, but since then no links have worked.
I emaiiled the help place, to be told, subscribe to premium!.. They don't read the emails, just send a canned response.
maybe after the olympics the videos will work.
The RSX sailing I saw was great, with excellent commentary too.

Could have had something to do with this reason, mentioned on Friday on World Sailing Rio 2016 Olympic Live Blog:

"Only Escola Naval and Pao de Acucar race areas are slated for live broadcast. The 10 events rotate thru those race areas"

According to live TV schedules (at link below), these are the only RSX races slated for live broadcast during the Rio Olympics:
Mon 8 Aug - RSX Men race 1 & 2
Tues 9th Aug - RSX Women race 5 & 6
EDIT Thurs 10th Aug - RSX Men & Women races 7, 8 & 9 (due to course change but not originally scheduled for live broadcast)
Sun 14th Aug - RSX Men & Women medal race

Hi Macro, from that link, select Home, then scroll down to sailing.
Then you can select highlights (if you don't have premium) of the RSX sailing on different days. The page isn't very user friendly, but by selecting 'previous' or 'next day' you can watch different highlights.

Hope this helps.

yep tried all that before I sent email to seven. Maybe reason above is the reason, yet it lists all of the races as a full video.
probably the same guru who did the census site is in charge!

Maybe the folks at Channel 7 didn't know that only selected races on the two course areas mentioned were earmarked for live TV broadcast? (many complaints from sailing enthusiasts worldwide on World Sailing live blog about not being able to see their favorite classes racing live on TV)

So to then add surfing, that can't be done on a lake, is an insult, as it contradicts the IOC's decisions about us previously.

Surfing can be done on a lake if you add a sail. Two birds; one stone.

If those who organise the Olympics were true to the universality of sport then these events should have some free to air coverage. After all, the network covering the Olympics has three channels covering this event. The sad fact is that they are pedominately covering the sports already with a huge television coverage. It is easy to see why some sports are in the minority, no one knows they exist. In fact, much of it boils down to the money and commercial interests driving this event. Sure, it makes for great spectacle, but who decides that one sport has precedence over another? The Olympic movement has the greatest opportunity to promote sport across all domains, but fails miserably.

Can't get any of the alleged videos of RSX windsurfing action at Rio Olympics at the above link to work?
