I come across some cool old windsurfing clips from time to time and thought I'd be cool to consolidate them. All vids have to be pre-2000. Yes thats quite modern for some of you, but should allow quite a variety. If you find any nuggets on youtube/vimeo post them up. Try to keep posts on-topic. Yew

This is the Aloha Classic II, has some of the greatest one liners from when windsurfing was at its peak... Watched this a hundred times when I was about 8, parantal indoctrination at its worst...

Anybody who has seen The Windsurfing Movie will have already seen the famous wipeout from the final heat, when "Richie Meyers GETS EATEN!!"

But it's worth watching the whole thing to see the sailing standard, and also the interviews at the end where the Pros talk about the future of windsurfing..

Epic conditions for PWA in namotu in late nineties sometime. Would be sick if they could get their act together again and score more events like that...

There was a F2 video back in the late 80's featuring Bjorn Dunkerbeck. I just remember it being a great wave sailing video but have never been able to find it. Anyone remember it or know were a copy could be obtained.

I know what you mean by mellow, but if you've sailed those pre-80s boards, or really most pre-1985 boards for that matter, the sailing itself was never mellow - always a fight.

It's gotta be the oldest such clip though really.

*ahem* just found another beaut. The wave sailing starts at about 5:00, but the whole thing is worth watching.
