So, I bought a complete TC Runner last weekend for $10, thought it would be a good option to end a 30 year hiatus. It came with a complete Bombora Zot 272 for an extra $10 which, I figured, might let me get one sailable rig given their age.

Turns out the Runner has had a hack job done on the mast base in order to Jerry rig the whole thing together. No luck finding any suitable old replacement bits so it was time to get a work around happening.

Pulled the mast slider out if the track, found an old bit of 6mm stainless and a $9 Aldi drill and tap set bought a while back and voila, the Runner now has a workable mast base using current tech.
