Old RaceBoard info?

Hi guys, just looking at this race board, only got these pics to go off, anyone know what year it is? i'm thinking 1988 but, can't gind pics of another anywhere, i know there are still Raceboard guys out there that know what year etc.

Yeah writing is the same, don't have the bar code, also centre board case is different.

Freesail magazine article circa 86-87. I think the graphics in this article are wrong as they are an amalgam of the F2 Lightning and Lightning Race EC. The article indicates the EC Lightning Race in Australia had a smaller centreboard so this might explain some of the differences you reference.

If I recall correctly, the test is quite right and it was great in big winds but lacked volume for light wind speed. At the time it was made, Dunky was young and still small - just two years before he had been way too small to use the previous model Lightning, which was only for big guys.

Still probably loads of fun and perhaps better for blasting than many newer Raceboards which were designed more around upwind/downwind courses.

I picked up a similar year model for a mate here at GB. $150 Complete, mastbase cb. Its definately a lower volume RB compared to later models. Will see if i can get a photo.
