Hi all, is there any water at Muddies atm please? Can you still get onto and up to eastern sand spit to camp? If not, has anyone sailed north end of Crowdy Nat Park(wavesailing)? I know the point is south of Old Bar, but looking for more remote for kids to flat water and cross off waves for me.

Thanks Breezers, the water looks ok, depth could be iffy, luckily I also kite, so should be doable. Any advice about camping on the sand opposite?, does Lani's have control , or just go for it?.

Use to be little tern nesting grounds patrolled by national parks on the sand opposite, not sure if it still is but if it is they will hammer you. Have stayed in the camping grounds at the start of the dirt track many times and was really cheap. Just look out for low flying planes hitting ferris wheels like last time I was there " Looks like the spider has caught a fly"

Good luck at old bar andos ,as windsurftom has confirmed you still cant camp on the sand but enjoy the cheap camping and chicken parma at club old bar. Don't worry about the old troll above, he dosent live around here , don't meet many grumpy crew round these parts, gods country. Will be down that way myself in a couple of weeks, PM me if you are there the same time and will show you a couple of spots off the beaten track.
