Hi Guys and Girl

I'm flying to Noumea on Saturday for two weeks and wanted to get as much sailing in as possible and a some SUP action as well, Any reconditions on hire companies and also the bank told me to take Aussie dollars not local currency which i found strange.

I'm taking a harness but I take it a shorty in not needed?



Any help would be great.

Only Seanhogan will take Aussie dollars overthere... but you won't have anything in return though... Change some money here in OZ to get a better change rate.More seriously, get in touch with him and he will tell you all about hiring gear overthere.Also, learn how to speak French

If you try to use aussie $ locally in shops or restaurants you'll get ripped off (like in any country)

Seriously, bring some local currency (xpf) do not change at any airport.
Bring your credit card (visa preferred here)

Being from Vic you definitely won't need a shortie.
