I have just purchased an ex-demo North sails mast from an interstate dealer. It's a SDM 460/25CC Plathium series mast. I've been told it's 6 months old. I don't have any experience with North sail masts.

Does anyone have a 2010 460/25CC Plathium mast ? (could you email me ?)

How do North sails package their masts when they are freighted ?. Do they put the mast (in it's mast bag) in a loose cardboard box so that it can rattle around and potentially become damaged ?, or do pack their masts properly ? (ie: foam wrap or wire tie components so there are no moving parts in the package).

I read this a couple of times and am just too curious so have to ask...

why are you asking how a North mast is packed? If it a demo it will not be factory packed surely....

Or was it damaged and you are trying to prove the dealer stuffed it (you are hoping to prove he stuffed it as perhaps they are packed so well from the factory it could not have been damaged before he had it?)
